I suggest that you try the following mixture 50/50 .new veg oil from the supermarket.not from the local chippy as you have to strain this and add an acid to kill the animal fats that block the pump and the injectors and then filter it again. to expensive and fiddly! diesel from the pumps. I run a R V on this mixture with no problems AND no smell. Go to veg oil search to find all the info you require.Diesel engines were originally designed to run on peanut oil.

There is a firm in Miami that will be producing Bio Diesel from Human fat .
Apparently the Liposuction clinics in Florida have 10 tons a week of the stuff to sell . .A truly renewable resource

You can get red diesel in a few places where I live and it's only something like 40 or 50p a litre. It's cheap, unrefined and dirty but cheap, very cheap.

Parrafin works but is not very good. It is hard to obtain these days too, many years ago you could go to a petrol station where it would be on tap( literally).
