Both parts of it are names of Celtic gods. Bran is the Celtic word for "raven". Bran was the god of war, and he was a giant who used his body as a bridge across the sea from Ireland to Wales. Don was one of the names of the Creator Goddess -- variant spellings include Dana, Anna, and Danu.

I challenge "Fiery"....unless by poetic licence from 'raven'..... but "hill" as an alternate is not false because some names in English ending in -don are derived from the Celtic "dun", = hill fort.
