I wrecked the front of my car and had it fixed. Now I have a very loud road noise. Just wondering what the cause might be and how to fix it? The noise is so loud inside the car that it is hard to carry on a normal conversation. I was thinking maybe it had something to do with the cvc joints or the transmission but not really for sure about either one. Will appreciate all helpfull input.

Take it back to the repair shop and complain like hell till they agree to fix it right this time.

Good luck!

Well you didn't say how long this has been going on but I will assume you just picked it up from the shop.

Hit the reverse button and take it BACK to the shop.

Suggestions that THEY can check

1) Bearings (sounds like they may now be bad or the races gone)

2) Wheels.. are they still true (warped wheels will make a road noise) The tires could also be bad with a cut or bulge on the inside that you can not see

3) Axel (front wheel drive ? - you didn't say).

thats the best I can do with the little detail you provided....

good luck

You didn't have it fixed. You gave money to someone who claimed they fixed it. Don't keep giving money to that person. Anyone who would work on a damaged front end without road testing it to make sure it was done right is an idiot.

do you think it would be a good idea to ask the mechanics that fixed your car or the insurance company that paid for repairs. NO WAY, ask a bunch of people that never saw your car, rode in it or know what color it is...Do you have someone that ties your shoe laces for you in the morning???

let the repair shop figure that out, they said it was fixed and it is not, probably the alignment is way off.
