I'll never forget going to see Pet cementary and these two little kids screaming and running from the theater,it was terrible.I think 1/2 of the audience made comments to the stupid parents.!

my dad bought a bunch of 80s horror movies and watched them with my little brother (he was 9). he had nightmares and ended up sleeping with my dad for a week. he learned his lesson on his own. some kids just like horrors though. i used to watch the child play movies (with the chuckie doll) when i was 8. it depends on the child, so no i wouldn't say anything as long as it wasn't something like the hills have eyes or something with explicit gore. maybe the parent didn't realize how bad the movie was going to be. a warning would do.

I saw Kramer V. Kramer when I was like 7. There is a scene where the woman comes walking out of the room naked and walks into the mans young son. My mom's hand slapped across my face so fast I thought I went blind LOL. It stayed there for a long time. I came to find out later, when I was older why.

My parents used to take me all the time when I was younger. They weren't that bad though, and they would like cover my eyes during sex scenes! And in less than 2 months I'll be able to go see them by myself!

The only R-rated movie I've ever seen was "The Passion of The Christ". I usually stick to PG-13 or lower.

I think lord of the rings was inappropriate for children, the parents should have taken them to see Narnia instead
