I live in Kentucky in the Country and we use wood heat we also have a gas heater just incase we have to leave for a night. The only problem with wood heat is that you have to keep it going, and you have to get up in the middle of the night to put wood on the fire or it will go out.

We have an electric heat pump with a high efficiency gas furnace. I had it installed last winter & it's great.

We have a pellet stove. I also have a dinky little heater in my room. If I'm still cold, I have to resort to blowing on my hands.

what do you mean heat? do you mean how do we heat our homes? You have me kind of confused..........we have electric heat, but we used to have a propane
