i have a net but at this rate it will take me 100 years. anyone else have any idea what a quick way to get your leafs out is?

You're probably using what most pool owners have, a skim net. It's small, flat and flimsy. Head to your local pool shop and purchase what's commonly called a leaf rake. It's a mesh bag with a flat edge on one side that allows you to drag it across the pool bottom and collect about 10 pounds of leafs at a time. It also is better at skimming.

Go to a sporting goods store and see if you can find a long fishing net that will stretch across the pool and have someone on the other side and drag it down the length of the pool, and then put the cover on.

Wow, those were some pretty smart assed remarks left by others.
I would suggest a large fish net with a telescopic pole. Sometimes those skimmer nets just don't have the capacity to get the job done very quickly.

Sit there all day and as one falls in, fish it out.. easy.
