I am looking for a broker with VERY fast Order executions. Every "direct-access broker" I look at has a minimum opening account balance of $25,000-$35,000 (Day trading SEC regulations)....so basically it looks like im stuck with scottrade.

I have Scottrade. They execute in real-time. I could be watching streaming quotes-when my price is triggered, it will pop up on the screen.

I've been with Scottrade for two years. I make 10-20 online trades a month or more, and most of my orders are executed in a few seconds if the price is compatible. Usually I can click "check status" right after placing the order, and it's done. Are you using dial-up? that would definitely slow things down, regardless of the broker used.

I manage a friend's via Scottrade. I have had no complaints about stock orders, but options have been cruddy. Of course that may have changed, I havn't put in an option order via Scottrade in a while.
