I give my mail lady a gift card every year for $25 dollars and she is grateful every year remember what ever you give SHOULD be OK cause you don't have to give

I always buy mine a nice box of fancy chocolates or give them a gift card to a nice middle of the road restaurant or deli for a lunch and a thank you card...
Money is never really appreciated in small amounts! and apparently it's illegal? (See answers above) I didn't know that~

It is against federal law to give your mail carrier any type of gift. It is considered bribery, even on the holidays.

I don't know what the law is in your state, but where I live, you can't give money. We can give baked goodies, or a gift but money cannot be given.

ah. that's really nice. not a lot of people do that at all anymore. i suggest a nice card with about $30 would be appreciated. that's what i give my mailman.
