I'm asking this question from a different computer.

I tried taking out the power supply for about minute then put it back in the back of the computer and it still didn't work.

First of all NEver Ever turn off the PC while a program is running like that. Its the most easy way of messing up the Hard disk or the O/s. Only do that when the system freezes. My guess you tried to power it back on in a split second after shutting it off. You have put the power supply in Self protect mode now you gotta unplug it and wait a min and plug it back in and Hope you did not mess up the Hard disk.

No your computer is not dead. It is likely you broke your power button. I've broken my old one when I got frustrated and try to force it to turn off. If you didn't smash it in, it's likely the switch/wire is loose in first place and fall out when you push it.

be more clear on the problem ...... if ur sys is not booting up then go for an OS reinstalation ........ if ur prob is tat ur sys is not taking power i.e. not turning on then tak it to some repair man ..... may be the SMPS (power manager ) is gone and needs to be replaced ....... before that ask him to chk the mother board battery too ......... this won't cost u much ..........
