The Yucca has 2-3ft long stiff sword-like leaves, forms a clump with new off-sets developing around the main plant. The Yucca filimentosa leaves have along the edges short threads. In July and August cream-white bell-shaped flowers grow on a 3-5 ft stalk. Some Yuccas are stemless.
