Hello,

Thats a VERY VERY complex question to answer, why? because it depends entirely upon the organisation or company you work for i.e. on the nature of your employment. Let me pose some examples here:-

No.1 the consquence of being an employee of an arms manufacturer is that many more people will continue to be murdered or killed by your actions. Weather its hand guns, AK47's or B52 bombers, or Typhoon euro-flighters.

No.2 if you work for a charitable organisation such as Oxfam, or The Red Cross you might be able to help reduce the suffering of a small minority of the human race.

No.3 If you worked at a sex club, or as a pimp, then your exploiting another persons body for your selfish & immoral gain, usually to support a smack habit. Then the consiquences to health & psychie are not very good.

No.2 If you are employed by Shell Oil or BP then you have to ask yourself if the consiquences of the companies output is ethical given that it may have long term impact on the planet through CO2 emmissions which might well impact on climate change, etc.

**So you see, different kinds of employment pose different types and degree's of consquence, pose different moral & ethical questions & dilemmas. We all have to grapple with our own conscience as to wheather we can live with those dilmmas. Its only a matter of degree for most of us, nobody escapes from the fact that actions have consiquences, thats life I'm affriad and nobody is exempt.
