I divorced my wife 2 months ago.My daughter(she is 5 years old) lives with my ex wife(in another state).I'm not able to visit her often. Are there any ways I can keep communication with her and not to be only the parent for Christmass and vacantions?

Get each of you a web cam and set aside special times for the two of you to chat. Help her with her spelling words (or at this point, letters and sounds!) Read a chapter out of a book together every night. Write lots of letters to her tell her about your life. Send her stationary with her name on it and stamps so she can write to you. (My children LOVE mail!) Take pictures of where you live with you in them so she has a tangible place for you in her mind. Just keep contact Dad!

Get a web cam for her and you. If your x is nice enough, you can set up times to chat with her on the internet where you can both see each other. It isn't the same as being there but you can still see each other and with speakers and mikes you can talk instead of typing. That is how I keep in touch with my kids across the country.

Call her often, send her letters and cards every week. Kids love to get mail. Send her updated pictures of yourself every month. Send her books, and other educational things that she would enjoy. You could get a computer and get her a computer with a cam and talk to her as you see her on the cam all the time. But the best thing is mail. My son loves to get mail. He gets excited when he recieves something in the mail.

Not really especially since you live in another state. Just about the only other way to do it would be to get the court to rule mom unfit and re-award custody to you but thats probably unlikely to happen so you better just be fit with what you got

Do you not have a telphone? How about sitting down and writing letters to your daughter? Send her little cards letting her know you are thinking about her. Send her small gifts of things you know she collects or enjoys.
