I love David but I'm a Celebrity aside what did he do? Was he a music producer? TV producer? I really want to know. Cool guy but what is the history behind him? I have searched on the net but can't find out. Please help! What songs did he produce? What concerts did he sort? Tell me please he's great!

He became 'famous' when he married Liza Minnelli.
David Gest has always been in the entertainment industry. At 17, he was a record company publicist and soon went on to establish his own public relations and management company. He produced several large scale events and concerts e.g his best mate Michael Jackson's concert.

David Gest was a very successful musical producer, and had a huge collection of Judy Garland memorabilia.
Perhaps that's why he coveted Liza Minnelli.
It was a weird marriage, as he is gay, and it is rumoured she is a lesbian!

Because Liza Minelli beat him up for a few years, ( when she was sober enough to stand up ) then she divorced him so he could go on I'm desperate to be a celebrity get me out of here.

my personal opinion is that he married someone famous, done a few things to get him in the spot light then done something that people would think hes famous for after people start to know who he is.

He married into fame. Liza Minnelli was his wife til he beat her up. He didn't deserve to win "I'm A Celebrity". Other than that, I'm not familiar with his work.
