You can do the ratio on domestic violence in the home relating to child abuse. It has been proven that if domestic violence is being committed in the home, child abuse is more likely. Michigan is actually about to have a law for police officers to report domestic violence if children are in the home, so it can be investigated if child abuse goes on.

Maybe on the assumptions family friends and the law make about women (and men) who are victims of domestic violence. I have very educated and informed frinds who make general statements about the issue and really have no concept of the pervasive, soul sucking experiences.

(assuming you are writing a paper) Do something on female to male abuse. that should narrow your topic down considerably since the information isn't really currently available.
