I would cry because it's not a fifty. A dollar bill is hardly worth mentioning. It's like finding one cigarette. big deal, no one cares, give it to a panhandler or the guy at the Sally Ann donation box. My answer differentiates with the denomination of the money found.

if i would have seen somebody drop it i would pick it up and return it to the owner -if i was just by myself i would put it in my pocket and probably buy a lottery ticket with it since it was't mine i had one extra dollar to try to win maybe millions

I pretend I drop it from my pocket and pick it up. If I see a homeless looking at me while I do it, then I'll give it to him or her.
