I try to download the software on my PC but I dont know how to transfer to my PSP, I try to open the file and is not working, is there a way also how you can do it direct to your PSP the download?

Or Am I missing something else?

Can you help me please.

Check the instructions for the different methods list at the bottom of this page - http://www.us.playstation.com/psp/downloads/systemupdate

To copy the update to your memory stick do the following.
1. Locate the file on your computer.
2. Right-Click the file then click copy
3. Open "My Computer"
4. Under "Devices With Removable Storage" look for your PSP. It
might say "Removable Disk (G)" "Sony PSP (G)" or something along that line. Keep trying until one you open has a folder called
PSP.
5 Double-Click the folder named "PSP" then when that opens
there should be a folder named "GAME" if not create a new folder
and call it "GAME".
6. Now Click on the Game folder.
7. Inside the GAME folder create a new folder and call it
"UPDATE". Once you create the folder open it.
8. Now Right-Click and select PASTE. That should copy the
update data. It should either say "EBOOT" or "EBOOT.PBP"
either one is fine. If no file showed up you didn't follow
correctly. All you have to do is find the update file on your
computer and copy it into the UPDATE folder under
"/PSP/GAME/" .
9. Finally start your PSP and under the GAME tab select memory
stick. Then look for the update data. If the update you copied
was 3.01 then it would say "PSP Update Version 3.01". Then follow the on-screen instructions. Also your battery must be
above 50% charged and the AC adapter should be plugged in
to avoid bricking your PSP.
