Good question!

I would like to know who gave John Hinckley Jr the pistol and placed him in D.C. when he shot President Reagan.

VERY good question. He held uo corner stores & couldn't escape from local sheriffs. Here he was committing a very high profile & escaping from the FBI. He was obtaining forged documents but could barely read & write. He was broke but was living like James Bond.

Who had:
The resources to locate such a person as Ray?
The money to pay him?
The ability to help him obtain forged documents?
Help him evade the FBI, RCMP & Scotland Yards?
Pathological hatred of Dr. King?

1 person who gets a yes to all those questions was J. Edgar Hoover.
