my girl is pressurising me to marry her, yet my pockets are still not heavy enough. She knows this and I know it too. Sadly, we love each other madly. Should we marry and then create avenues together?

No one should get married under pressure. You should only get married when both of you feel ready. 50% or more of marriages end in divorce which is very traumatic to go through. The fact that you love each other madly is great. However, if she loves you, she won't pressure you. Remember too, these days, the financial burden does not belong to you alone. Unless she is handicapped, she should be contributing to the fund in prep. for marriage. How long have you been together? It's so important to really get to know each other well. Along with loving each other madly, you need to know your partner and her character and how you deal with life when reality sets in.

If you love eachother and you see yourself with eachother for life then why not marry?? Why loose time together? More people than you realize have empty pockets, but the love they share keeps them together. You work to just pay the bills and eat, why work so hard to be like the"JONES"? Just be content with what you have and are not two people paying the bills than one? Just think about it like that and you will be alright. Love is a once in a life time thing and you should not want to miss one second. Good Luck!

Been there, done that. Believe me, you'll never have heavy enough pockets. Look at it this way, there will be two of you instead of one making a go of it, plus you'll be together. Probably pretty happy too. Go for it, what have you got to lose?

well i know people really don't do this anymore but get her a promise ring(it means that you'll marry her when you have enough money...sort of)
