All tracks composed by Mark Knopfler (Sting co-wrote Money for nothing).
Five of the tracks released and became hit singles - Walk of Life reached No. 2 in 1986.
The album sold nearly 4 million in the UK alone making it one of the ten best selling albums ever in this country.
The guitar featured is a 'National Guitar' - a lyric featured in the Paul Simon song Graceland goes "Mississippi delta shining like a National guitar .........."
PS Great album. One of only two albums (Dark Side by the Floyd the other) that I bought as an LP and CD!
