try vinegar for stains,scratches.depends what the countertop is made off

It depends on the stain and how long it has had to set. But you might want to try- I think it's Bartender's Friend, or something similar.

If it won't hurt your counter, you could also let bleach soak the stained area a bit: Bleach is wonderful for getting rid of most stains. The only trouble is that it tends to take out many colors not just the ones you want to get rid of.

I'm not sure about the scratches, but the Magic Eraser will take the stains off. I bought one the other day for the first time and I was totally shocked at what that thing removes. It truly is like magic. Get one and it will be your best friend!!

I like comet for the stains. It has always worked for me. As for the scratches, I'm not too sure of. Maybe filler,or perhaps extra fine sandpaper.(this is why I work in the medical dept. lol)
