People who care about this country pay attention to what is going on and sometimes they disagree with what the elected officials are doing. You know, sometimes they don't act in the best interest of the country - the politicians, that is.

Because in a 'free' country people are allowed to have their own opinion. Do homophobes in San Francisco get hunted down and shot? No, it's usually only the conservatives who do that sort of thing to people.
Non-segregated cities were regarded as being anti-american in the 50's. Was it WRONG that people questioned this view of american culture?
