One of my hobbies is writing restaurant reviews. I hope to turn it into an on-the-side career. In the mean time, I just love dining out, and I'd like to classify it as a hobby.

It makes me fat, but I've just accepted that. Doesn't really bother me! :)

You could classiffy yourself as a connosiuer of restaurants. I also find it fun to eat out, especcially at formal restaurants. Don't worry about being fat. Firstly, you only get unhealthy when you eat fast food, or other junk. Plus, excercise is the only true way to get in shape and stay in shape. it is also less restrictive, because you can eat anything as long as you get proper nutrition.

Yes, eating out is very fun, and even I would call it a hobby, but it is more accurate to call yourself a connosieur.

Sure it's a hobby, but it doesn't have to make you fat. Most every day I go down to the local diner around 12:30 for a bowl of soup and coffee or iced tea (depending on the season), read the paper, talk to the waitresses and the other guys at the counter. I don't go for the food; it's a hobby! Al;so, when I travel on business I always go to the same local restaurants . . . I'm recognized as an "occasional regular" in restaurants 500 miles from home! It's a hobby, definitely!

I definately consider dining out a "hobby" or whatever you want to classify it. I love food and I love the experience of a great restaurants. And I like being pointed in the right direction as to where the best places to go is. So I say you have a good idea!

a hobby is defined as something done for pleasure other than an occupation. So I guess eating out could be a hobby, but as soon as you get paid for your reviews its a job. Unless you do alittle eating out on the side.

If you are actually doing it as a possible career (side line of regular), then I might consider it research.

If it is just a hobby, then you should consider buying some Mu-Mu's, or Sumo outfits.
