Try local Churches especially Catholic and call 211 from your homephone line. They can tell you-that is United Way. They can tell you how to get help from food baskets to utility shut offs.

Have you tried your local churches? Also if you are receiving public assistance, there is a program through them, you should already be signed up for that. My husband has also been fighting cancer for a few years, contact your local cancer care group.

This time of year many churches adopt a family to help. You might try calling around to see if any can help you. What about your local Dept. of Human Services? They might also have good ideas.
