Death is not the end... it is merely the beginning... the physical body is but a shell and like the chrysalis, we shed it and move on...

A lifetime (rising 62) as an natural psychic medium, proves it to me... see ya there... I wanna collect on those apologies I'm owed for being called a nutter and a liar... and much worse... my prize will be, the look of shock and wonderment, on all the sceptic's faces:-)

This is one question with many subjective answers to it, some
apropos some not, right or wrong is not an option.

What is death? Its the absence of all organic life, is one answer, but why? Like Ben Casey's logo in the old TV show, "Ben Casey"
and that is man-woman-life-death-infinity, or a five sided star.

So for all living matter, it is born, it lives its life, and dies, thereafter, thats the way of the universe, and with God, as most of us know it.
If we all were immortal, the earth would soon run out of habitable space, as 75% of the earth's surface is water, and only 25% left for habitation, and even less than that, when you factor in rain forests, mountain ranges, hugh jungles, and other tropical
environments. Let us not forget about the deserts, either.
Thats why a majority of the world's population are centered around the coastal regions of the globe, near fresh water, which
is only less than 5% of the entire earth surfaces.

My point is, we all cannot live forever, regardless of our religious
beliefs, or secular philosophies, one way of looking at it, may be
that my cup is half full, not half empty, but that is for philosophical
discussions perhaps not appropriate here.
The ancient Egyptians believed in an afterlife, and prepared all their royalty (Pharoahs) accordingly, one reason why the giant
Pyramids at Giza were built.
But they did realize this life had its limits, and they tempered their
beliefs with these limitations, but placing great stock into the after
life.

We, who live in the western world have a great respect for life,
especially the Judeo-Christian credo of love thy neighbor and
practice the Ten Commandments and the" Golden Rule"
Not all religions do this, but the lion's share of them do.

The thrust of the Christian argument is to live a moderate life, with
the understanding of minizing our mistakes, learning from them and making fewer and fewer as we age on earth.
Idealism springs from hard line experience, and a plan to avoid future faux paus (false steps) as each day of our lives unfold.

But is death supernatural? Can we communicate with the spirit world, and ask them how's it going? Can we actually cross-over
to the other side before we leave our mortal bodies, our temples
for the great hereafter?

It seems to me, that the only thing we have to go on, in defining
death, is what comes out of literature, and the men who write it,
and that becomes a work of fiction, not fact, as none of us really know what "hell" is and the temptations of Satan, or the Devil,
can we just go by what we have been handed down through historical records, can we be convinced that all that literature
is true?
The King James Holy Bible, which is 2/3rds prophesy, and contain 500 prayers, and is comprised of 39 books in the Old Testament, and 37 books in the New Testament, all subject to our hard working theologians and bible scholars, who work tirelessly at interpreting the ancient Greek and Hebrew, and other semitic languages, coptic languages, Syriac, Aramaic, Arabic,
and others, including all the Romance languages, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, and others.

When you factor in all the many avenues for misinterpretations,
its small wonder there are so many varying opinions on what the bible says, to an ordinary person, who has no theologic or
scholarly background.
And remember, there are more than one kinds of bibles, the Qoran, for the Muslims, the Talmud for the Jews, the King James
for Christianity, and other earlier documents that precede the fourth century AD, Although this century gets all the credit for
starting
certain biblical documents and literature.

So, regardless of how I try to define death, it always comes back to the same thing.
I guess what I'm saying is,. I really don't know how to answer this question, as I have never died and then get resurrected and come back to report to humanity what my feelings and experiences were.
I don't think any honest person has done it, either, other than Jesus Christ. (the Resurrection of the Christ is taken on faith, as
far as I'm concerned.)

Thats my message, good luck.

Death is nothing moe than the ceasation of the activities of the bodydue to the exhaustion of the the life of the cells and tissues of the body . Sricktly speaking the bodily cells also do noit actually die as they are made up of matter that is a compound of the elements that are indestructible. if we exmine elements in the bodily the tissues of the so-called dead man under an electron microscope , we must see the electrons being active in evry atome of the various elements that make the bodily tissues. Death (the ceasation of the activities of the body and brain ) occurs , not bcause the what people call the soul going out of the body.the soul if any goes only because the body and the internal organs of the body cease to function . The so-called soul depends on the body . if the soul is undying and is not dependent on the body , the severed head of a man must talk and the eyes in the severed head of a man must see. the severed body of a man must walk and do all the functions that it were doing before the head was severed . since the soul if any depends on the body , the body is becomes motionless ( what we call death) . So what is clear is hat there absolutely and rally no existence after the bodily cells and the cells of the internal organs cease to function for some reason or othere just like the mechanical part of a machine . a machine can sto functioning if some part - even a single part happens to malfunction of stop functioning due top some defect that is subjected to while in operation.- say the damamge caused to some a tooth in some wheel that helps moving the other parts of the machine would be sufficient to stop the maching from functioning. What is ral is that the matters of which the body and the internal organs are made of are indestructible and thre is no question of thier dying at any time . They only change from stage to another.so here is no question of the death of the matter .of any living creaure and even inaniomate objects . \\\\but things continue to chnage from one another as every atom of one element can change in to that of another element due to the addition of depletion of the moving electron and the count of the nucleus - the proton..the changein of the matter of the body from one to another in the process of recycling can b called the re-incarnation. The resurrection of any person ,never occurs and it would never happen. We were nver born of our choice and our birth was just an accident or an incident in which we competed with millions of our sibilings to get into the single egg in the womb of our mothere as in a musical chair and by succeed ign in the competition we have caused the death of the rest of our sibilings even while we were in the form of a sperm .We did not come from anywhre but from the same earth on which we live today.zNeither do we go to any place from the earth whilke we die . .Our body and all our organs stop functioning while we die . If we have he slightest trace of consciousness , we would not be dead .When we totally lose ou consciousness , we are declared dead .. so we are said to be dead only when we forget everythng .including our name . So we go as we came , with nothing in mind , if at all we came from any where .Since we forget everything including our name while we die, thre is no question of the soul coming back to anywhere as the soul dose not have a hard disc as the brain to get anything recorded. For memeory we need brain . The soul having no body and no organ ,has no brain and it has gone forgetting everything . so the soul being a person and doing anything without a bain is out of question. So the ery concept of soul is baseless and unscientific .It is simply flase .Just as we came from no where , we go where too while we die and we do not die except that we become like a battery cell tha has exhausted its charges by doing work.

Animals don't think about death cos they don't have the brain capacity that we do.

If there is something after death, then god must be real. Otherwise why would we have our physical body's to endure before we can live in peace with other souls. There would have be a mastermind behind it.

Hi

I just lost my uncle tonight....hmmm

I believe it is something....death....death is the beginning of your next life....

I was brought up in a catholic school by the sisters of saint joseph's. But I do not believe in hell. I believe that hell is really pergatory..not being able to see God's face.

I believe heaven is...a wonderful place..your favorite place on earth..plus some...a place where you can see your loved ones again (I can't wait to see my mom again....and my other relatives and pets). I believe that there is no pain in heaven....at least I hope that is what it is all about...I can't wait to meet GOD! someday..hopefully..trying to be good....

When I was little I use to think God and Santa were best of friends..and the tooth fairy and the angels were friends...lol...still kinda do...

don't forget..every time a bell rings..and angel gets its wings!

so ring a lot of bells, please....

death is what happens when ur soul leaves ur body.then u are put into a grave.two angels will come and ask u questions like 'who is ur god?'or things like that.when they finished, u'll be all alone in that grave and u'll be tortured with punishments that are equal to ur wrong doings.u better hope ur family,ur friends or whoever prays for ur wellness in the grave, coz if they do,ur grave will light up and won't be dark anymore.u'll stay like this until the judging day comes.then, everyone on earth, will be destroyed and brought together again at the Mahsyar field.there all the dead people will wake up from their 'sleep',and God will question u. Ur mouth won't function at all,so,ur hands,ur feet, and other body parts will do all the talking for u.then, god decides where ur eternal resting place will be...HEAVEN or HELL.

Death is what happens when life finishes. No one knows for sure what is on the other side. Death for each person is some combination of their religion, philosophy, political ideology, art, and medical technology.

Some people say that we struggle when we are young to be successful and get ahead so that we can live to be old and decrepit, and then die.

You cant believe death is the end? Many things we dont like are true. The fact that life might seem bleak and depressing given that its gonna end isnt a reason to reject the fact. I wont start pointing out all the flaws in the inevitable 'energy never disappears it just changes form' argument. Anybody who spouts that is just using scientific language to disguise their ignorance.

Feel glad that you've got one life instead of none and if its limited just consider it all the more precious for that. So few people really do cherish the time they have and its sad.

Death is where the atoms that made up your body reconfigure themselves to join the rest of the universe... perhaps some of them will become part of someone else... or end up in a diamond.... or scatter in some distant corner of the universe...
