I dearly love my hubby and don't want to lose him because of this, his libido is very strong, he's very attractive to women, and could have his pick. This menopausal thing is a pain in the butt. It's almost like I'm depressed... (meybe I am) what can I do to raise my desire, regain some energy, feel better about myself, and keep my hubby happy?

You're experiencing fairly common symptoms of menopause. Go to your doctor and tell them about your lack of desire, energy, and feelings of depression. There are natural and prescription drugs that you can take to deal with hormone changes and to deal with the symptoms of menopause. You may also need to take anti-depressants for a while as well. Every woman reacts differently when their hormone levels change-some women need hormone replacement therapy, others just need something to help with the uncomfortable symptoms of menopause.

I know lots of women experiencing the same thing you are. Talk to your doctor-there's a lot you can do to feel better!

Good luck!

First off are you depressed because you do not feel good about yourself? This could be causing you to lose your sex drive. As for your husbands libido issues, if he loves you then he will not stray or make you feel bad for not layin down for him when he wants it. There will come a time when the roles are reversed believe it or not. Chocolate wont work that's a total myth only thing chocolate does is release the same chemical in the brain someone gets from having sex it doesn't make you horny. I went through depression and had to get on medication in order to balance the chemicals in my brain and once they were balanced my sex drive came back. If this is bothering you seek professional help menopause is not a reason to stop having sex or have no sex drive.

You may have answered your own issue. Depressed because of loss of sex drive - maybe. See a doctor or counselor and explain this in detail to the counselor/doctor. Do not expect an overnight miracle, but it just might help. Good luck and have a nice holiday season!

As another suggested, you may need to see a doctor or therapist about your depression. In the meantime, put on your happy face and treat your husband well. He needs to feel loved. The more he feels loved, the more he will love you back. By helping him, you are helping yourself.
