I've ask this question before but the closest answer so far is nuclear bombs. Some mentioned food but I don't see that as an 'item' although that could be argued.

Seriously, I am asking because I can't think of one.

Pemmican did come to mind, along with other comestibles that are peculiar to the US.

Really, though, there should be many other things that would meet your criteria. Artworks, especially 'folk art'. Tools made by Amish for Amish. Stuff made in Jamestown 'with 18th Century methods', e.g., tallow candles with homespun wicks. 'Hobby' manufactures of all sorts; there's a minor group of nutballs who follow the principles of 'scratch building' as it were religious duty.

But I suspect that the question conceals a concern about the loss of 'independency' that international commerce entails. Yeah, I don't like it much that I can't buy a US-made television set. It just seems wrong to me that we 'surrender' a whole line of development to others, 'abdicating' as innovators or inventors in that ongoing enterprise.

It doesn't bother me much that we don't make slave collars anymore, though, so I have to admit that I'm not of one mind in the matter.

Firearms would be one thing. How about a bag of sugar. I have several peices of art that were made in Montana. I have a sliver and gold Christmas ornament that was hand made in Fairview, Montana. The cost being $100, but well worth it. So there ya go. Thats several things made in the USA.

...And one other thing. I have this knife that was hand made in Richey, Montana. Its very sharp and of the highest qaulity.
