Teaching terminology: Concept vs. Theme vs. Topic??

Help me please.

I need to define these three terms. Then I have to classify different titles/groupings to fit into each of them (in social studies).

The one I am REALLY stuck on is which of the three "urbanization" would fit into.

I'll take a stab at this...

A concept would be a political or social idea that could be tested. For example, communism is a concept.

A theme discusses how a concept is applied in the real world. For example, "The spread of communism" is a theme.

A topic is a specific example of how the theme can be analyzed or discussed, such as "The spread of communism after WW II."

Dunno if this helps but it made sense to me.
