I bought one, but I'll admit I did a bunch of research and it appears it'll be a year or two before they get the kinks worked out. A lot of developers aren't used to this blu-ray thing, so it's not as good as it seems. I personally ended up selling mine and getting a 360 (which I love!!)
The online kicks--period. It's so amazing; Microsoft owns in the online department. Go to xbox.com and check it all out--I mean you can keep track of your friends list, check out what's on the marketplace, keep track of stuff on the community calendar--everything!
Then you can manage your account from there too. I got on and blocked all voice chat on my 360, unless they're on my friends list. I hate sitting around listening to people swear and stuff, so that was totally sweet. There's a bunch of other privacy options you can do on there.

All in all, the 360 just is smooth--the PS3 isn't going to be a real player in the game for at least another year.

Good luck in whatever you decide!
