in most of the english speaking countries of europe he is called "Father Christmas" and i think they are aware of the reindeer, but they don't embrace them in their own yule tide traditions. im not sure they even have caribou in Europe, maybe in the northern part of Scandinavia. caribou is another name for reindeer
