I would have to say Scott Stapp singing the Great Divide

Currently Chris Cornell has got it for rock, and the singer from Dimmu Borghir has it for best metal. But all time greatest singer has to be Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin. He is incredible. Listen to the song "Since I've Been Loving You" if you want to hear more.

Depends on what you call Metal...What most people have posted is to me Grunge not metal. I would say of the True Metal Vocalists Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Ozzy , or Philip Anselmo
