I was thinking about the name Urban for a boy or a girl. I have never heard of this name before. What do you think? Is it so unique that it is wierd? The name means "from the city". I do live in Phoenix, AZ. So, such a name would be fitting.

Urban is ok for a boy. I don't really think it's very fitting for a girl, even if you live in a huge city!! If you like unique names, though, here are some:
Marianna Lucy
Shiloh Allison Rebecca (Shalie as a nickname!)

I like it for a boy, not for a girl. It is a little out there, but hey...if Qweneth Paltrow can name her baby Apple, and Courtney Cox can name hers Coco....I don't see anything wrong with Urban:)

Just think of the future and how the name is gonna effect the child....maybe use it as a middle name

Joshua Urban:)

Urban is a boy's name and I guess with a little bit maneuvering you could make it a girl's name. It means city dweller
It's not really that bad.

Urban may be ok for a boys name, but I cant see it being used for a girl.

I love it! I've never heard of anyone with that name either. It works great for a boy or girl. Very creative, and it has meaning. I'd say stick with that one!

I wouldn't recommend that name - its quite a coincidence, i know a kid in my bio class whose name is Urban, he really hates his name and plans to change it. It sounds like a cool name but gets old fast.

I really kind of like it. It's certainly unusual, so there won't be several kids with the same name. It does sound more like a boy name to me though.
