Possibly - but why would the dolphin care? In terms of raw brain power, they have the capacity, but there is nothing in their environment that would make such information useful to them.
That some learn basic math is surprising enoough - I have no idea why they want to give any human their time or attention.

No, but they understand Degrees of Freedom - more dolphins than sharks is OK, but more sharks than dolphins and you are screwed.
