Hey i'm doing a project on this and i just wanted to know what you guys thought. For example, if you primarily listen to rap does that mean you're going to act like a gangster? Or if you listen to country music does that mean that you're into farms and all that stuff? It all has to do with stereotypes...just want to know what you guys think.

No, because I listen to many different genres of music. I listen to celtic music but I don't do jigs.

i believe it does somewhat. i lived on a farm growing up and i've always loved country music. people in the south usually do. i have found occasional exceptions though. i think it does reflect your personality. i've had many black friends and they all listen to rap and hip hop. ive only had one black friend from the south but he still listens to rap and all. stereotypes are sometimes true. so i think it's a mix of both.

I think it's the opposite. One's personality affects the music genre they listen to.

Yup.

In my case... about 3 years ago i used to listen to Hip Hop and stuff... And that affected my personality a lot. For example I became the head cheerleader bla bla. Then decided to listen to heavy metal, Gothic, Punk and Hardrock... Now am wearing black cloths, have a very harsh personality and write Dark Poems... Strange huh?!

confident it does, specially because of the fact alot of the darker, desperation, depressed, emotional music or whateva you wanna call it incredibly is incredibly incredibly nicely written and whilst listended to can incredibly make you sense the sentiments that the singer replaced into feeling whilst he concept-appropriate to the music. Listenting to music will become component to your subconciousness its like reading a e book, it sticks. You study from music an analogous way you study from the books you examine. They slowly subconsciously replaced the type you react and study. for this reason listenting to music could have an result on your character.

I think the gendre of music attracts certain personalities. If you ever saw people standing in line at a music concert, you can tell what type of music it is just by the people's appearance

No, don't believe the hype or sterotypes.

Does what kind of movies or TV you watch affect your personality?? I don't think so.
