Yeah, I've got a cool name. It's Avie, which is a pet form of Avalon. I like it better than my birth name because it describes me better.
As for my real name, well, my mom, ever the peacemaker of the family, named me after two family members to keep them from killing each other. The names don't go together very well and the second part of the name rhymes with several very ugly words that describe bodily waste -- a detail the kids at school and a few of my uncles were very quick to exploit. I hate that name so badly that I don't ever mention it if I don't have to.
