You don't have to pass at this opportunity! It depends what path you want to take after you have the baby. If you plan on staying at home with your child past the normal 6-12 weeks that working women normally take off after having a child then I would say don't take this job. But if you are planning to work after having your child then yes, go for it!! Since you are so far along I'm sure it is no secret to them that you are pregnant. If they say you are qualified for the job they cannot discriminate and not hire you because of your pregnancy. If you are in the US, there's an employment law called the Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1978 which prohibits employers from excluding applicants because of pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions. If this is what you want to do and you plan to go back to the job after you have the child, then go for it!!

You are already pregnant (a LOT pregnant) so you would not qualify for paid maternity leave. It takes a company a MINIMUM of a month to train a person - even at McDonald's - so you would not be a great candidate for employment as you would be giving them about 6 weeks of full service before leaving. The best thing you can do - and this would show you are honest and have integrity - is go and speak personally to the manager or Human Resources if they are a big company - tell them that this is the opportunity you have been wanting for a long time, that you would be so happy to work for them, that you are pregnant but wish to work for the next 2.5 months and would accept a training position and understand that you would have to have unapid maternity leave. Say that you wish to return to work in about ten months, you will have competent baby care and would be reliable. also tell them that, if they need fulltime help now and do not have the resources to be hiring again in 2 months, that you understand their situation, and that you would very much like to have your file kept open and be considered any time after next August. Also ask if you may keep in touch as soon as baby is born. Also ask if he/she could recommend any books to read or any information you could study on-line in the meantime that would help you with getting on with them next year. This will show your genuine interest. Yes, it's the law but if you start a job already being aggressive and pushy, things will not be rosy in future. Far better to be sincere and be hired on your skills, interest, cooprativeness and understanding. This is the type of person that employers seek for future promotions. A person who insists on being hired because "it's the law" is a person who shows that they do not understand the economics of business and will forever be pushing the envelope. And be sure you use spell-check or have someone proofread your resume to eliminate spelling errors!

Why wouldn't you take the job? If it is a question of insurance, you can always do cobra until any new benefits come into play and it is illegal for anyone to discriminate against someone being pregnant. If you are planning on going back to work after the baby, you may have to take your leave unpaid but you should be able to save your last paycheck with your accumlated leave time on it to get you through. Good luck

You should just talk to the Manager and see what they think. They may take you on despite your pregnancy. If you are the right person for the job then why would they let something like being pregnant get in the way? I'd say go for it. I would!

Take the job! They can't discriminate based on your family status, and generally must give you maternity leave.
