I just don't get it! Goes something like..."Oh Baby I hear the Blues a calling, tossed salad and scrambled eggs. You think you've got my number, But Baby, I've got you pegged. I just don't know what to do with those tossed salads and scrambled eggs. This is played at the end of the show. It's incoherent to me.

Don't overanalyze it -
I hear the blues a'calling - people call into his show with problems;
tossed salads and scrambled eggs - confused people, people with difficulties in their lives that mix them up;
I've got you pegged - he always knows how to help them; they are usually of a psychological "type" he can peg down.
They're callin again - the show goes on.....

Good question. I have no idea. I've just always figured it meant something like "My life is crazy."
