"Dueling Views Pit Baker Against Rice"

This is not the first time I've seen attempts to blame Rice for not inquiring more, etc... concerning our actions in Iraq.
Keep in mind, Baker was around during Bush Sr's, Wolfowitz's, Cheney's creation of the 'pre-emptive strike' documentation/plan in 89. That plan (can't remember the title) was put on hold when Clinton won in 92.
Pt is:even though I don't like Rice, I trust her more than Baker and hate to see her painted as the scapegoat.

How do you think a black woman got into the Bush clan,,,,?by saying no? She is just as culpable as the rest, conspiring against Colin Powell when he was trying to talk some sense in to them, his only problem was; he was such an obedient soldier. She is nothing but a female chickenhawk, soldiers lives mean nothing to these animals, it's just a number on a page. Bush didn't stop giving out the death penalty when he left Texas, he just extended it to 3,000 American soldiers.

I don't think so. I personally think Condi is a very intelligent woman who could contribute much more without her blind allegiance to the Bush administration. I don't know who I would "trust" more between her & Baker. I'm sure they both have their skeletons in the closet.

She is positioned perfectly for a early retirement. Maybe a health issue.
If the White house gets pressured by the new congress for some positive Iraq results. She is gone.

Yes, she will be a scape goat. Everyone around President Bush has been a scape goat. Former FEMA Director Brown, Secretary of Defense Rumsfield, UN Amb. Bolton, etc.

I think Bush would favor Rice in this instance. I think that they have been doing the dew when they are both in town, Condi is Bush's Monica. How do you think she got and keeps the job when it is so apparent that she is over matched.

The administration is in dire need of a reshuffle as it is, but I don't want Rice to leave. She's more trustworthy than another stuck up priviledged oil tycoon/businessman/ yadda..

No she won't be a scapegoat.
She has been one of "Bush's Blind Storm troopers"
WMD's ? Al-Quaida Saddam connection ? iraq had nothing to do with 9-11 . . . . . .Lets throw a war ! Yeah ! We'll liberate the Iraq
if we have to kill every one of them.
She's as innocent as Rumsfield,.for getting Americans killed in a senseless war.

Agreed. I hope she is not the scapegoat. She is intelligent and professional, and I hope she runs for President and wins.
