A straight up drirect nation wide Popular vote for president. if you go by the whol nation and not state by state than no one will complain about big states darwfing small states.

Outlaw "black" government agencies and spending.
There is no way of knowing how much money the CIA
and like agencies are totally wasting or mismanaging.
Billions are being wasted by the one's we can "see".
I remember reading about operatives sleeping on bales of $20.
bills in Afghanistan. The $20.'s were to pay mercenaries to liberate their country. A mercenary army works for the highest bidder.
So who wins . . . Iran can hire a lot of "rent-a-cops" paid for at American gas stations
Mean while the American tax payer didn't even get kissed

There should be a campaigning fund that everyone's money goes into, and candidates are only allowed to spend from that one fund. All contributions would be anonymous to prevent special interests. And people who have personal fortunes wouldn't be able to use that money.
It's a rough idea that I just thought of, so I'm sure there are loopholes and flaws as is.
But I think money is the source of most government corruption, and I don't believe any politician is free from corruption. So, stop the money flow, stop the corruption.

Deny all those supported by the government and all government employees (city, county, state, fed) the right to vote. Today over 50% of the voting public falls in that category, and only vote for more benefits and bigger better government. The gun is loaded against the taxpaying working man. His vote now amounts to very little.
