I just don't get it! Goes something like..."Oh Baby I hear the Blues a calling, tossed salad and scrambled eggs. You think you've got my number, But Baby, I've got you pegged. I just don't know what to do with those tossed salads and scrambled eggs. This is played at the end of the show. It's incoherent to me.

It is referring to his call in radio show. Tossed salad and scrambled eggs is what he calls the crazies that call. I heard this explained on Biography.

It's a jazz song. Sometimes they don't make sense. This song is designed to evoke emotion without actually telling a coherant story.
I've heard the star Kelsey Grammer talk about the song in interviews. He said it was just something fun.
