The person who said 3,087 gives a link to a site that didn't include his stats from last year's national championship game when he ran for 82 yards.
And the 4,995 presented in another answer is the yardage he put up in high school, not college.

He finished with 3,169 yards and 25 touchdowns on 433 carries (7.3 avg) and 1,301 yards with thirteen scores on 95 catches (13.7 avg).
