Sure, if it was a Lego brick. Or some other toy brick.

I imagine that for most people the choice would depend on whether or not the baby was hurt in the process and how severely. If they thought they could do it in a way that might not hurt the baby too badly, they'd do it. But if it would kill the baby or give it brain-damage or some other serious chronic injury, then they probably wouldn't.

Strangely enough, research shows that younger people are more likely to kill or hurt another person if there is a moral reason for that action: for example, if it would save someone else's life (including their own, I imagine). As you get older, you become less likely to undertake violence even for a good cause. This sort of explains why it makes more sense to send 18 year olds to war than 50 year olds, unfortunately.

I would throw a brick at the baby. However, be warned I throw like a girl and you said nothing about hitting the baby. In my case I wouldn't even come close, I rarely hit what I aim at. It is my kids running joke that if I was standing in front of a barn and threw a rock I would miss the barn.

nah, the baby has a whole life to live... i'd just go on to see about the afterlife or to rest or whatever's next... it may mean the becoming either a worm or an eagle, an angel or a demon, 1000 year oak or some ragweed

besides... throwing a brick at a baby would mean for the rest of your life you'd have to remember doing that... death would be welcome

No! I would die, honestly. My life is precious, but not precious enough to sacrifice a baby for. Think about your question and answer, but only think of the baby as being your own or someone close to you's.
