I spotted a lot during my first pregnancy and during my second pregnancy with twins. My second pregnancy I spotted a lot. Both pregnancies were successful. Spotting a little bit is fairly common during the first trimester. Try to relax and drink lots of water.
Usually doctors will tell you not to worry unless it's as heavy as a period. With the twins, I bled that heavy and even then every thing was ok.
Good luck!
with the first, it was pink to brown spotting.
with the twins it started as brown spotting and turned bright red for couple of days.

I just had my baby on Nov. 15.... I had spotting all through my pregnancy with her. Unless you are having pain with the spotting then I would call your Dr. on Monday.... if you start having pain (like period cramps or sharp pains) then go to the ER

Yes it is very normal. I did with 2 of my 3. It can range from very light, (pink watery looking), to slighty red-tinged and still be normal. If you are passing clots or heavily bleeding, you should go to the hospital. Even if you are scared. You don't want to lose a baby.

I have spotting with this pregnancy due to intercouse but I have also miscarried twice. My mom spotted with my brother and my grandmother blead with my uncle. So I guess I know of three women.
