I love Tony Blair. I absolutely respect and admire his mastery of the English language, his agile communication, and for standing up to Europe's hordes of military lassitude. I wish he had more support from Bush. He took so many international, and domestic beatings from critics. Now Blair has gone crazy. He resigns next year. Since this notice, his focus appears to be on his legacy. He placates his critics now. Politicians. Are these people for real? Who can you bank on?

Um......Blair doesn't HAVE to do anything for President Bush. If you think he hasn't done his job right, then blame him. Not the leader of another country. I think President Bush has made some mis-steps, but I rarely give that blame to anyone but him.
To answer your question though, I do think that Tony Blair has been a good ally with America, just as the entire UK has. Though it looks like the UK is slipping into that trap of not being as tough on radical islam as they should be. But America is doing the same thing.

Wow you incredibly have this gorgeous incorrect certainly. Tony Blair became into not a 'very left-wing best minister' or a 'cultural Marxist' by using any stretch of the mind's eye. he's the in all likelihood maximum dazzling-wing chief of the Labour celebration ever and surely confirmed fairly an aversion to raising taxes oftentimes. i think of that is greater his slick presentational variety and the reality that he became into so on the element of George W. Bush in terms of distant places coverage that this parallel has been drawn. yet i might infrequently say he's a hero to maximum Repbulicans the two.

I view PM Tony Blair in the most positive light possible. I do not view him as President Bush's lapdog.
The influences degrading these two brave men would have bashed Churchill and Roosevelt.

Americans are ignorant of other countries' politics/politicians.
I would bet that if you asked who Tony Blair is, 80% of Americans would say he was an actor on soap opera.
Hell, most of our citizens don't even know who their own senators and congressmen are! Most people graduate from high school and don't even understand our basic three branches of government.

I like him, he is surprisingly level headed when it comes to the war on terror (that is, he isnt for appeasement, there is too much of a history of that in europe), especially since he is from the labor party, definitely a rare find.

Our media tries to portray him as a puppet to President Bush, but from what I know of him, he seems to be a decent PM.
