I was told it was *83 but it doesn't work i just get a busy tone. i have try *83 then the phone number with and without the area code, and the number with and without the area code and then *83 at the end.

If you have a GSM phone, dial #31# area code then phone number and SEND. You may also have a menu option that says something to the effect of Hide Outgoing Caller ID.

Some carriers will let you set your line to block outgoing Caller ID permanently if you call them. In that case, you'd have to dial a code each time you wanted it to show up instead.

You can punch in *67 before you type in the number - that will make it come up blocked

u gotta go to the office which you got your Number but here actually i know just Army ppl can do that but if it is not like that in USA GO ahead to the office cos they gotta active some thing

The only way that I know of is to pay to have your number unlisted.
