I love my xbox heres my favorite games.
Splinter cell 1, 2 and 3 all great.....theres a 4th one I can't remember what its called. you gotta have time and patience for these.
I could play tiger woods 05 forever. I just bought 07 but it doesn't have the same game modes and i don't like it as much.
Oh and I don't really play wrestling games so i'm no help there.
Fable(platinum hit) is so much fun. you choose to be good or evil and your character evolves with the choices you make.
need for speed is a great car racing game....project gotham(platinum hit) is a hard game to complete cuz you have to master each track eventually to get golds. I still havn't beat it....its old.
what else....
Soul calliber is a great fighting game.
NHL hockey is fun for group playing or Fusion Frenzy (platinum hit) is kinda like Mario party. A whole bunch of mini games.
If you see games that say platinum hit those are top rated games obviously....ghost recon .....rainbow 6....lord of the rings. I always buy the platinum hits when i see them at good prices.
Other than that there are lots of fun games shrek/ poker/ fantastic 4/ batman

I've not played the original Splinter Cell or the sequel, Pandora Tomorrow, but Chaos Theory is fantastic. IGN.com gave the Xbox version a 9.6 out of 10. The amount of replay value is amazing; there are multiple pathways and several different ways to play. I've beaten the Gamecube version at least half a dozen times and I'm right now playing the XBox version (I had to put Chaos Theory on hold for Double Agent for a few weeks).

Splinter Cell: Double Agent came out earlier this year and is also very good, though not as good as Chaos Theory if you ask me. Some control issues were resolved and some levels pose an interesting challenge, but in the end I just don't feel like replaying it the way I do Chaos Theory.

Okay, you already named the best game on the system. The Xbox has Splinter Cell: Double Agent as well as Chaos Theory. As for wrestling games, you're kind of out of luck there. WWE Smackdown vs. Raw has had some lackluster games on the Xbox. The Sixth Generation is ending, so there's not much in terms for our black/green friend here. I'd suggest selling it (if your older brother doesn't care), and hopefully you'll get about $100, and then just save up another $200-$300 for the 360.

Go to gamerankings.com and do a look up on Xbox games. You'll find how well games stack up against each other.

My personal faves are Halo 1 and 2, Star Wars:Knights of the Old Republic, Forza Motorsports, Jade Empire, Psychonauts, Ninja Gaiden, All of the Splinter Cell games, and all of the Prince of Persia games.
