I have had my wallet stolen also, and as a matter of fact the person who stole it was pulled over in a town 100 miles from where I live and tried to use my drivers license! So here are the steps you need to take! 1- file a police report- 2- call your state police and put a fraud check on your license-3 call the credit bureaus experien and so forth. 4 - take the complaint number from the police report to your local dmv and get a duplicate! Hope this helps! smokey

#1 - First of all, did you file a police report?

If so, you will be protected against someone other than you using your identity against your wishes.

#2 - Did you have any credit cards? Bank cards? If so, contact the banks and notify them immediately that your wallet was stolen!

As far as replacing your license.. call your local Department of Motor Vehicles. They will assist you in replacing your license.

If you are living in UK then you apply to DVLA at Swansea. You can pick up an application form at the Post Office. Outside of the UK I do not know.

Write to the authority who issued the original. Enclose as much detail as you can, including whether you have reported the theft to the police. You may need the name of the officer who dealt with you.

Well here in Florida, you can pay $10 on the DNV website and they mail you your license back. Search for DNV in your area.

You won't get a replacement licence, there is no such thing. You might get a replacement license, though. For replacement licenses, go to Jamba Juice, what do you think?
