It's really sad that money has such a huge control over our health care today. We're spending trillions of dollars and investing tons more into research that is supposed to promise us a cure but, instead we're getting treatments! No don't get me wrong. Having treatments not at all a bad thing but, I'm starting to question because with all these new advancements in the knowledge of medicine, why haven't we come up with the CURE yet? Especially for the most known diseases like AIDS/ Diabetes. What is sad is that, even if someone has found the cure, I think secret government agencies are probably shutting them down because to find a cure would case some sort of huge affect on the economy. And there we go back to money again! I just wanted to know what's your take on this issue?

After reading Natural Cures They Dont Want You To Know About I am convinced that there probably are cures, but the drug companys would lose tons of $ if the public was able to be cured of diseases , I also read that the food and drug company work together to keep the public sick, that the food company puts chemicals in our food and hormones in meat so that the drug company can profit from this. And that the best food to buy is organic which only comes from a health store, after reading that 3 months ago now I noticed grocery stores carry organic milk and some other organic foods, is that weird or what??I also heard that vitamin b17 cured most cancers , but it was banned by the FDA .The only reason by it being out lawed is because the drug companys cant make it , or thus profit from it.

if there were a cure out there for any disease and the American government knew about it, they'd be rallying it right now. I think the market is going to start falling to pieces, the war in Iraq is going terribly and it's just a crappy time to be in politics. Strategically it would be time to unleash a cure.

Plus, there's a lot worse government spending going on. Just look at some recent things passed in congress for the add-ons of things like a million dollars to study the effect of horse farts on a mouse's immune system.. but congress can't vote against the No Child Left Behind act so stuff like this goes through.

Shane,

I used to work in the pharmaceutical industry. It was my undergraduate internship. I performed an assay for a preclinical drug, which is now on the market.

I learned that it takes millions of dollars and decades of time in research to develop a cure for a disease or ailment, unless (as in the case of penicillin) it is discovered by accident.

One of the reasons is that diseases are very dynamic in nature on a microscopic level. While the symptoms of a disease may appear to be the same for everyone, there are too many different pathways within everyone's bodies to easily find a global cure.

Think of the common cold, which is a virus. Everyone gets the same symptoms, but the viruses are actually very different.

They have known for 80 years what causes cervical cancer and
in all that time they have been unable to come up with an
anti=viral that would take care of the problem?

Stop giving your hard earned money to research. The cures will
happen overnight!

Thank you very much, while you're up!!!

I am totally convinced that there are cures to things like diabetes, but the drug companies make so much money on insulin and testing supplies that they would lose millions of dollars a MONTH. I think that they are in cahoots with the Government.
