Our equatorial radius = 6,378.14 km
Surface area of Earth
= 4 x pi x r^2
= 4 x pi x (6,378.14)^2
= 511,208,374 km2
Area covered by Santa in a second
= 511,208,374 / (24 x 60 x 60)
= 5,917 km2/s
OR
Number of children in the world = 2.2 billion
Time spent per child
= 24 x 60 x 60 / 2,200,000,000
= 0.000 039 3 seconds per child

well for Santa to do this he would be travelling at some thing like 2 or 3000 times the speed of sound and around one thousandth of a second at each house. I'm not surprised no one sees him Christmas night

I would say that Santa has the ability to slow down time...in effect entering his own time space so that 24hrs for us could mean a year or two for him, this would give him as much time as he needs to visit everyone in the given 24hrs.

I wonder how old you are? Do you REALLY believe in Santa Clause? Because that's really stupid. How could one man truly fly around the world and visit everyone in one night? He doesn't! reindeer dont fly, no such things as elves, have you ever noticed that some people dont even GET presents? And its not because they're naughty, some people are just poor. When you wake up Christmas morning it should be about Jesus' birth not santa claus, all those gifts under your tree are from your parents and family, not some fat jolly guy in a red coat pretending to be all about christmas. It's mean to lie to little kids telling him hes real. oh, and have you ever realized that ppl have believed in santa clause for like EVER and that would mean he was several hundred years old and ppl don't live that long anymore.
There was once I real guy names St. Nick but he just gave money to the poor. Hewas Sainted and given a day to celebrate him. THe date was December 8th, not the 25th. He's not about christmas. anyway, hes long gone!

# of children (age 0 -14) worldwide = 1.79 billion (see https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/xx.html#People)
earth's surface = 197 million mi² (see http://www.planetpals.com/planet2.html)
seconds in 24 hr period = 24*60*60 = 86400 sec
So Santa needs to deliver gifts to 20718 kids/sec
how many mi²/kid = 197 miliion mi²/1.79 billion kids = 0.11 mi²/kid
Santa's speed = 0.11 mi²/kid * 20718 kids/sec = 2279 mi²/sec
So Santa visits each kid 1/20718 sec/kid or 4.83 x 10^-5 or 0.0000483 sec/kid
