With the limited information provided I don't really think your boss should worry, nevertheless, he will probably become involved in a Criminal Law procedure, which is not at all comfortable in Mexico. The best advise I can give you is to get legal advise as soon as possible. Avoid any kind of contact with Mexican lawyers that approach you at the offices of the "Delegación" (place where he probably was remitted). These kind of lawyers are called "coyotes" and are looking fore easy pray, offering quick solutions which normally result in bigger problems. Mexican legal counsel can be extremely expensive, specially when regarding Criminal Law matters. I can recommend you the following legal counsel, he is a young but experienced (and honest!) lawyer specialized in criminal law. He speaks English fluently and will be able to assist you asap.
