what companies distributeindie movies? Besides festivals how do you reach them?

We've done some short movies, but are planning a big project. It's independant and I would like to know how I would go about finding a distributer for the movie. It will be in 16mm black and white. It is set in modern world, a small town, and is fantasy fiction, with murder, violence, sex, and drugs. Oh, and love.
